Tibetan Plateaus is a famous region in the world. It is 3500 by 1500 kilometers , averaging more than 5000 meters in elevation. It is the largest and highest region in the world. The Himalaya-Karakoram is here. This region contains not just Mount Everest, 13 other peaks are higher than 8000 meters, hundreds of 7000-meter peaks each higher than anywhere else on Earth. This is really a great area.

The Yangtze river is 6,300 km long, it is the largest river in China, and the third largest in the world, next only to the Nile in Africa and the Amazon in South America. This region is much wetter than other places in China. It is called "golden waterway". From this name, I can know how Chinese like this river. the Yangtze is a transportation that links west and east. The middle and lower Yangtze River areas have a warm and humid climate.

Loess Plateau

This is a traditional place, if you translate it from the Chinese name, it is called "Yellow soil plateau". As you can see in the picture, this region is very yellow... It is located in the middle of Yellow river, so people live in here is yellow, much darker than others. Lots of sand come from here. So Chinese are trying to grow more trees...
