The Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Lowland is the smallest geographical region in Canada. It includes the triangle formed by Lakes Huron, Ontario, and Erie.

1. Find a picture of this region. Post it and explain what you see in the picture in 3-5 sentences.
This is a picture of this region. It is a beautiful lake. The great lakes is one of the most famous spot in Canada, now I see how wonderful it is. Those red maple trees are grown in the bank, absorbing the good water in the lake. The land is moistured because of the great nature.

It is like a mountain is cut... The land is in half and you cannot go to the other side. If you fell down, you would die.

5. The topography of the Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Lowland has a rolling landscape made by glaciation. Find a picture of a rolling landscape (it does not have to be in this region) and explain what you see in 3-5 sentences.
I see a big area of grass. And this area is not flat as usual, it is rolling, like there are many floors but go down peacefully. This can be a convinient place for golf! And the picture is very helpful for my tiring eyes.

Those place full of ice. The water are frozen because of the cold weather,the big area of ice make up a wall of ice. This is called glaciation.

Mountains are white in this place. On the top of the mountain,there are snow/ice covering. The ground is also frozen. This is a cool place.

10. There are also flat plains in this region. What do flat plains look like? Find a picture and explain what you see in 3-5 sentences.

Flat plains are very flat...The plains are always located in somewhere low. So in this picture, the clouds seems high up in the sky. The plain is fertile that people grows here.

11. There are also deep river valleys. What do they look like? Find a picture and explain what you see in 3-5 sentences. In the outside of the lush forest, there is a river crossing. This water looks cool. Children is playing in the river happilly. The river looks so soft to people, running very slowly and moisturing the trees.

The great lake is really great! It is large as ocean. The brink is full of rocks,sometimes mountains. This is different from ocean. It doesn't show the largest side, but i think it is very large.

14. What did you learn about the Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Lowland region?


It is the smallest region in Canada, but the lake is really big. And it includes 5 big lakes. This place includes different region. That is a wonderful place!

1 . How do you think glaciation changed the way land looks today? Explain in 3-5 sentences.

Maybe the climate in this area formed the glaciation. These glaciation flew from cold place and remained here. And the hot weather made those glaciation melted, became water.
